The Canadian Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences /L'academie canadienne des arts et des sciences de l'enregistrement (CARAS) is a not-for-profit organization whose main focus is the exploration and development of opportunities to promote and celebrate Canadian artists and music.

CARAS has been inducting into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame (CMHF) since 1978 and has inducted 57 artists and industry professionals since that time. In June 2004 an RFP was sent out soliciting bids for a bricks and mortar site.
